Switchback was founded in Carbondale, Colorado in 2021 by Ryan Austin and Kelly Gitre with the dream of providing world-class marketing solutions to the vacation rental industry. Together they have 20+ years experience and have provided top-level service to their clients over the years. Being based in the Aspen valley gives Switchback Email a finger on the pulse of the highest level of the vacation rental markets and unique insight into the demands of top-dollar clients.
Ryan has spent his career developing and improving industry-leading email programs and delivering maximum value to his clients. His cutting-edge techniques have earned Ryan multiple awards and keep him at the forefront of his field.
When not hard at work, Ryan is hard at play hiking, camping, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or shooting photos in the beautiful mountains of colorful Colorado. Music is also an important part of his life with a love of blues and jazz that have drawn him to playing saxophone and accordion from time to time.
“Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in an office or mowing the lawn.
Climb that damn mountain.”
Kelly followed her love of the mountains to Colorado where, after graduating from Central Michigan University with a Marketing and Sport Management degree, she found a home snowboarding in the Rockies. Her enthusiasm for the vacation rental industry is fueled by her own drive to travel and explore the world giving her a comprehensive perspective of the markets she serves.
When she isn’t working, Kelly can be found paddling whitewater rivers, snowboarding the rocky mountains, camping with her dog, or hopping on a plane to some new adventure.
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
